Truss Calculations

There are two calculations that can be done on a truss: solving for support reactions and solving for internal member forces.

Solving for Reactions

Solving for the support reactions will find the forces that the supports are applying on the truss to keep it in equilibrium.

Action: Navigate to Solve>Solve Reactions.

The reaction forces apear on the truss view and info tables.

Solving Members

Solving members will find the internal compresive and tensile forces.

Action: Navigate to Solve>Solve Members.

The internal forces will appear in the members info table.
